Designed by Ulrica Hydman-Vallien for Kosta Boda, this breathtaking platter harmoniously mixes lavender and gold into a magical flight of fancy.

By interpreting plant forms in cast metal, Aram presents work which is evocative of a natural environment. Says the designer, This collection was really born out of the sense I have of haute couture. There is a velvety luxury – an almost gothic quality – to representing orchids in blackened nickel. To me, the pieces feel seductive and graceful, yet dark and unexpected.

Lovingly crafted, timeless and elegant, it gets softer and more beautiful with age. Intricate details of delicate shirring, appliquéd eyelet, charming ruffles, and scalloped edges are reminiscent of a time gone by while looking thoroughly modern, like a contemporary heirloom to fall in love with again and again.

Teema is the classic expression of essential design thinking, with each object derived from the basic forms: circle, square or rectangle. As designer Kaj Franck put it, Color is the only decoration needed.
